Advent and Christmas 2019

“Joy to the World,” the beloved Christmas carol, turns 300 this year. Composer Isaac Watt’s invitation for us to raise our voices together as “heaven and nature sing” is as urgent this season as ever. In a world of conflict, division, and grief, we long for joy to break into in our lives, our families, and our community again. With hopeful hearts, we gather this season to discover that the depths of joy can be found in the midst of shared struggles, the work of justice, and the presence of compassion. These gifts of a faithful and loving God, present among us still, is reason to sing indeed! Repeat the sounding joy with us at FPC this Christmas season.
