Dee and Ray served 15 years as Bible translators among the Akawaio people of Guyana, South America, culminating in the published New Testament. Since 2010, they have been serving the Papua New Guinea Branch of Wycliffe, with Ray training Papua New Guinean translators at the Training Center in Ukarumpa and at regional centers around the country. This enables national translators to take greater ownership of the Bible translation task. Ray's job also includes being a linguistics consultant and the linguistics office coordinator. Dee is a teacher at the secondary campus of the international school in Ukarumpa, educating children of missionaries at work in PNG.
