Family Housing Network (FHN) operates four programs that together offer families in our community a pathway out of homelessness. FPC is most closely involved with Faith Family Hospitality (FFH) in which host churches feed and house four families for a week at a time, providing dinner, breakfast, and safe accommodations. FPC typically hosts the families several times a year with numerous opportunities to volunteer during the week. In addition, FPC and members provide financial support to FFH
In conjunction with FFH, client families receive Case Management designed to help them set and reach goals on the path to permanent housing. Families have use of a Day Center with showers, laundry facilities, a full kitchen, and computers for job searching.
FHN also operates the Sherwood House which provides transitional housing for families who have successfully resolved their most pressing issues but who are not quite ready for or cannot yet afford permanent housing. FPC supported Sherwood House development by underwriting appliances in two kitchens and providing general financial support as well as volunteer labor and financial support contributed by individual members.
