Missions
At First Presbyterian Church, we seek to embody God's love and justice. We do so by working alongside partners locally and globally to proclaim the Kingdom of God and respond to the challenges of our time. Our work involves:
Committing FPC's financial resources, campus facilities, and time and talents to bring God's mercy to people experiencing poverty, inequity, and discrimination of all kinds
Nurturing, protecting, and restoring God's beautiful creation
Encouraging members of the congregation to become actively and personally involved in mission work in and beyond our local community
FPC SERVES: Get Involved
Throughout the year, we have numerous opportunities to serve alongside other FPC members. This might be a Habitat for Humanity workday, a coat drive for newcomer youth to Northern Colorado with ISAAC, or even an international trip with Plant with Purpose. You may not be able to fly to Nigeria to serve children at the Faith Alive Hospital, but you can participate in the local Mission to Hope Walk hosted by Homeward Alliance. You might not be able to swing a hammer to build a home, but you can provide a meal for Habitat for Humanity volunteers. You may not be able to participate in every available opportunity, but we encourage you to consider the places where God might be calling you to engage in meaningful ways. For more information and opportunities, reach out to Miriam Nelson.
