Joseph raced as a professional triathlete and worked as a hiking and mountain biking guide before deciding to attend seminary. In 2019, Joseph, drawn by FPC’s commitment to urban ministry, became a Parish Associate for Mission and Outreach. He hopes that the members and friends of FPC embrace the truth that worship, service, and following Jesus always moves us beyond ourselves and out into the world.
In addition, Joseph serves as a ministry relations officer for the Presbyterian Foundation, where he helps congregations and presbyteries think about mission and vision, church resources, and how they tell stories. In 2019, Joseph was asked by Fort Collins Police Services to start a police chaplaincy program. And he currently serves as Vice President of Interfaith Council and co-host of Faith in Progress, a radio program on KRFC.
Until recently, Joseph traveled as a mechanic for the USA Paralympic triathalon team. He also enjoys running, cycling, snowboarding, and exploring the Rocky Mountains with his wife, Shelly, and three children, Micah, Liam, and Hettie.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. —Colossians 3:17
